Born and raised in Lexington, KY, Allison has always been extremely dedicated and passionate about what she does. She is a member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology and the Stage Managers' Association. Allison currently attends the University of Kentucky for a BA in Arts Administration and a BA in Theatre with a Design and Technology emphasis and a Communication minor. When not in class, she works as a Stage Management Technician at the Singletary Center for the Arts, an A/V Technician for Production Services, and Over-hire for IATSE Local 346 and Vincent Lighting Services. She also volunteers as a University of Kentucky College of Fine Arts Student Ambassador.
Allison enjoys any opportunity to build upon her technical theatre skills because it makes her a better stage manager. She has worked as a carpenter, stitcher, electrician, mic runner, playwright, and on backstage crews in order to learn about every aspect of theatre she possibly can. She creates visual art through a variety of mediums including digital collage, oil painting, pencil and charcoal sketching. Despite being immersed in the arts, Allison loves biking, Harry Potter, dancing, reading, and dark humor jokes. She takes every opportunity to travel to somewhere new and explore the world.
United States Institute of Theatre Technology, Inc. connects performing arts design and technology communities to ensure a vibrant dialog among practitioners, educators, and students.
